Fantastic raptors -- Golden Eagles, harriers, migratory falcons, ferruginous hawks and more -- are often spotted at Solano County's Lynch Canyon.

The expansive open space is also home to an array of forest and grassland birds, coyote, jack rabbits, bobcats, ground and tree squirrels and deer.

Solano Land Trust spokeswoman Teri Engbright says, "The park is known for a wide range of migratory birds and other wildlife, as well as spectacular ridgetop scenery in the western hills of Solano County." The peaceful setting includes a year 'round pond and native oak, bay and buckeye woodlands. Trails are maintained for hiking, wildlife viewing, mountain biking, horseback riding, trail running and nature exploration.
